Questions about Reframe, a problem with the app, or a request about your data: write to robin@easystreet.be. You get an answer from the developer, in English or Dutch.
Common questions
Is the text I write stored somewhere?
On your phone, yes: your journal and your saved thoughts are kept in a database on your device. On our server, no. To write a reframe, the text of your thought is sent to our server and processed by an external AI service. Our server does not store or log it. The AI service keeps it for up to 30 days, or for up to 2 years if its safety systems flag it. The privacy policy describes what the AI service does with the request.
How do I delete my data?
To delete one reframe, open your journal and remove it there. To delete everything, open the You tab and choose "Delete all my data". Deleting the app from your phone also removes all of its data. There is no account and no copy of your thoughts on our server. If you subscribed to Reframe Plus, RevenueCat holds the status of that purchase with a random identifier; write to us if you want it deleted. Deleting your data or the app does not cancel a subscription. The usage statistics are not affected: they are recorded without an identifier stored on your phone.
Does Reframe collect usage data?
Yes, as usage statistics without a stored identifier. The app records which screens are opened and which buttons are used, together with the app version, iPhone or Android, the language and the country set on your phone and a session id: a random value created when the app starts, which is not saved on your phone and is replaced at the next start. It never records the text of a thought or a reframe, your name, which thinking traps were found, or anything about the support and crisis resources. The data goes to our own server in the European Union and is not shared or sold. It is on by default; to switch it off, open the You tab and turn off "Share usage data". Details are in the privacy policy.
What is free and what does Reframe Plus add?
You can reframe 3 thoughts every 7 days for free. Your journal, your patterns, your saved thoughts, the thinking trap library and the support resources are always free. Reframe Plus is a subscription that removes the limit on reframes, with a yearly or a monthly plan. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial if you have not used one before. Both plans renew automatically until you cancel. The app shows the prices for your country.
How do I cancel or restore Reframe Plus?
You cancel in your store account: on iPhone in Settings, your name, Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. The You tab in the app has a "Manage subscription" row that opens that page. Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If you cancel during the free trial, at least 24 hours before it ends, you are not charged. If you allowed notifications when the trial started, the app reminds you two days before the trial ends. If you reinstall the app or use a new phone, choose "Restore purchases" on the You tab.
Which languages does Reframe support?
English, Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish. The app follows the language of your phone, and you can change it on the You tab. You can write your thought in another language; the reframe is written in the language of the app.
The app says it is unavailable. What can I do?
The app needs an internet connection to write a reframe. Check your connection and try again. If the connection is fine, the AI service may be busy or temporarily down; wait a minute and try again. If it keeps happening, send an email with the time it happened and the message you saw.
How do I report a response?
If a response is offensive, harmful or inaccurate, open that reframe in the app and use the report option there. You choose a reason and send it. The report contains only that reason, the language of the app, the app version and the platform. It does not contain your thought or the response. If you want to tell us more, send an email.
Is Reframe a replacement for therapy?
No. Reframe is a self-help tool. It is not therapy and not medical advice, and it cannot make a diagnosis. If negative thoughts keep getting in the way of your life, talk to your doctor or a mental health professional.
